Page 4, Column 4Juann, daughter of Losson and Malinda Bridges, was born in Des Moines Co., Iowa, July 19, 1854.
She moved with her parents to Madison County in 1868 where she resided for eleven years. She was married to Warren Imes Jan. 1, 1877. Three years after her marriage she moved to Adair County where she resided until 1899 when she moved to Stuart where she has lived since.
In her childhood she united with the Christian church at DeSoto, but later she transferred her membership to the M. E. church at Greenfield.
She has been gradually failing for the past two years, but her last illness was only of two weeks duration which time she was a great sufferer.
She leaves her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Clark Hunter of Dexter besides a granddaughter Ila Hunter, five sisters and two brothers.
Her death came on Sept. 29, 1918. She expressed herself as willing to go and prepared to go. When asked if she would meet her friends in heaven, she said “yes” without the least of doubt.
The funeral was held at her late home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Wm. E. Hardaway officiating.
The burial was at Fairview Cemetery, southeast of Earlham.
Her sisters Mrs. Lucas of Winterset, Mrs. Croft from Minnesota and Mrs. Jos. McGinnis of Griswold were here for the funeral, the other brothers and sisters meeting them at the cemetery on account of the bad day.
