F. Mabel Campbell, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Row Arnold, was born south of Dexter October 29, 1887 and passed away at the Thomas Rest Haven, Coon Rapids, Iowa, December 4, 1978.

She attended Dexter Normal and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in rural schools, Madison County, Iowa, and near Council Bluffs.

She was married to Clyde M. Campbell, of Council Bluffs, December 29, 1909. Five children blessed their home. They lived in the Dexter, Earlham and Menlo areas until moving to Dexter in 1932. She was a member of the Dexter Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her parents; six sisters and one brother.

Surviving are their five children: Marian (Mrs. Clyde Brooks), of Stuart; Maurice, of Coon Rapids; Evalyn (Mrs. Alvin Kingsbury), of Whalan, Minnesota; Mrs. Katie Cafferty, of Ames, and Clyde Campbell, jr. of Clarinda; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Rella Arnold, of Nogales, Arizona; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, December 7, in the Dexter Presbyterian Church by Rev. Jerry Evelsizer.
