Mrs. A. R. Weed Of Orient Dies

ORIENT—MRS. A. R. (Flora) Weed, 91, of Orient, died at the Greater Community hospital at Creston at 12:15 a.m. today. She had been in the hospital for about a week.

Mrs. Weed had lived in the Orient community for some years. Her husband, Rev. A. R. Weed, is a retired minister of the United Methodist church, and was pastor of the Orient circuit of the church for some years before his retirement. Rev. and Mrs. Weed observed their 71st wedding anniversary on Nov. 16.

Mrs. Weed is survived by her husband; two sons, Lonnie Weed of Orient and Lyle Weed of Rochester, Minn.; 21 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Rosa Benedict at Indianola.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bickford-Murray funeral home at Greenfield. Rev. Walter Samp of Winterset will officiate. Burial will be in the King cemetery, southeast of Winterset. Her body is at the Bickford-Murray funeral home.
