Matilda Ann, daughter of Charles Grant Wall and Mary Jamima Waggoner Wall, was born October 5, 1891 near Menlo, Iowa in Guthrie County. She passed away on the morning of February 7, 1981 at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset, Iowa following a three-week stay.

May, as she was called for many years, attended country school near Menlo. In her earlier years she had been a member of the Fairview United Brethren Church, also near Menlo.

Caring for her family and their home was a great joy for her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Alva.

Surviving are one brother, Archie of Stuart, Iowa, four sisters, Lola Zornes, Alma Wall, and Mrs. Merle (Mary) Goff of Stuart, Iowa and Alta Neville of Gering, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Link Funeral Home in Stuart on February 9, 1981 with the Rev. George Thurman officiating. Organ music was provided by Merill Womach. Caring for the floral tributes were Mrs. Ed Davis and Mrs. Don Anker. Casket bearers were C. O. Couch, William Barringer, Jim Nevins, Larry Raber, Truman Powell and George Gilliam. Interment was in South Oak Grove Cemetery, Stuart, Iowa.
