Tuesday night Ed. Bissell passed away. His death has been looked for daily for some weeks. He came back from the south to die in his home and his desire has not been long delayed. He has been in failing health for about two years.
The deceased was born in Wheatland, Clinton county, Iowa, May 13, 1869. Coming west with the family he lived in Madison county for several years and then came to Stuart where he has resided off and on for several years. He was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Thompkinson, of Dexter, eight years ago. Two children have been born to them, both boys aged five and three years. Besides the wife and two children the deceased leaves a father, mother, brother and three sisters to mourn his death. He has been an active business man, kind hearted and one who made many friends.
Rev. McCurdy conducted the funeral services at the home of the deceased yesterday.
