Beryl Bash Green, daughter of Alva and Sadie Bash, was born in Madison county on July 5, 1892 and passed away in the Guthrie Center hospital on Jan. 22, 1961 at the age of 68 years, six months and 17 days. She was the only child in her family. Her father passed away in January of 1925.

On May 23, 1913, she was united in marriage to Elmer Green. To this union two children were born, a son died in 1934. Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1960, less than three months ago.

She is survived by her mother, Sadie Reighard, and her daughter Alpha Dean Jensen, both of Stuart.

Beryl had always worked hard all of her life. The last five to seven years she had the constant care of her invalid husband as well as caring for the home and business. Shortly after her husband’s death she became ill and her health had failed steadily since that time.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Bufkin Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Smith officiating. Music was presented by Robin Lawson, organist. Mrs. John Gomez and Mrs. Juanita Downing were in charge of flowers. Casketbearers were Dan Hill, Delbert Rote, Bill Rogers, Elmer Westlin, Oscar Draman and John Gomez. Interment was in the cemetery at Menlo.
