Maggie Leona Musselman, daughter of Wes and Emma Glazebrook, was born Oct. 8, 1904, in Decatur County and died Oct. 30, 1993, of cancer at Hospice of Central Iowa’s Kavanagh House in Des Moines. She was 89.
She married Clyde Musselman on Jan. 3, 1923, and they became the parents of a daughter, Juanita La Vaun “Bonnie”,
Mrs. Musselman lived in Truro and moved to Elkhart after the death of her husband in 1986. She was a member of the Truro United Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. After moving to Elkhart, she attended the Elkhart Christian Church where she enjoyed the weekly quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Vem, Clyde, Archie and Wayne; and two sisters, Zora Glazebrook and Edna Burchett.
Surviving Mrs. Musselman are her daughter, Bonnie Freel and her husband, Galen Freel, of Elkhart; granddaughter, Marva Johnson of Ankeny; great-granddaughters, Marci Long of Ankeny and Marti Birchmier of Maxwell; great-grandsons, Robert Owen and Jeff Owen both of Elkhart; great-great-granddaughters, Krista Long, Chelsi Birchmier and Rachel Owen; great-great-grandsons, Bradley Birchmier and Andrew Owen; two sisters, Ruby Adams of Murray and Sylvia Brammer of Barnesville, Minn. And one brother, Floyd (Bud) Glazebrook of LaCrescenta, Calif.
Services for Mrs. Musselman were at Kale Funeral Home in Truro on Nov. 1 with the Rev. Tom Burns of Elkhart officiating. The organist was Doris Johnson.
Casket bearers were Galen Freel, Allen Johnson, Robert Owen, Jeff Owen, Mark Birchmier and Mark Long. Interment was in the Hopeville Cemetery.
