Thos. King funeral held in Cumming

Funeral services for Thomas King, 96, were held Saturday morning at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cumming, Iowa. Burial was in the St. John’s Cemetery.

Mr. King, father of Mrs. Ben Baldus, a resident of the Rotary Ann Home, died there Thursday morning after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. King moved there in 1962, and she preceded him in death in 1966.

He is survived by four sons and two daughters, Marcellus of Blooming Prairie, inn.; George of Boone; Thomas of Columbia, Calif.; Eugene of Indianola; Mrs. Marie McKinley of Ames and Mrs. Baldus of Eagle Grove.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mr. King was born in Cumming and was married to Collette Ann Dooley there in 1899. They farmed near Winterset, Grand Junction and Ames and when they retired in 1942 moved to Cumming.

Rosary services were held Friday evening at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
