Page 1, Column 5Death of Dr. Carver’s Baby
The month old baby of Dr. Carver of East Peru died on last Friday at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin of Patterson. The little motherless one was removed from the hospital last Tuesday, and seemed to be doing well at the time.
Burial services were held on Saturday. The entire community sorrows with Dr. Carver over the death of the baby.

Page 2, Column 4The little infant of Dr. Carver was removed from the Des Moines hospital on Tuesday, and taken to the home of the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin of near Patterson on Wednesday, and it was thought at that time it was strong and healthy, but on Friday night it passed away, and was buried on Saturday at the Ebeneezer cemetery.

Page 8, Column 2Trouble has taken Dr. Carver by the hand once more in the death of his baby boy, who went to be with his mother last Friday night. Sadly the hand of affliction has been heavy on the doctor and he has more than his share of trouble.
