Jesse William Rynearson

Jesse Rynearson, 88, of Lorimor, Iowa, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 2, 2017, at New Bridge Church in Winterset with Rev. Dr. John Shaull officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Jesse was born on September 26, 1929 to Leon and Anna (Pennington) Rynearson. On May 29, 1955 Jesse married Esther Jane Fleener at Winterset. To this union were born two children, Kathy and Jim. Jesse worked at Meredith Printing Company in Des Moines for nearly 39 years. He enjoyed farming, camping, and traveling. Jesse and Esther loved escaping the Iowa winters to their second home in Yuma, Arizona.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Esther Rynearson of Lorimor; son-in-law, Rick Thornburg of Winterset; daughter-in-law, Patty Rynearson of Winterset; grandson, Jesse (Melisha) Rynearson of Adel; step grandsons, Reese (Sarah) Millsap of Adel and Lance (Lindsay) Millsap of Mason City; great grandchildren, Brayden and Morgan Rynearson; and step great grandchildren, Cole, Caleb, Jaxson, Tate, Noah, and Case Millsap.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.J. and Anna (Pennington) Rynearson; son, Jim Rynearson, daughter, Kathy Thornburg; brothers, R. Clifford Rynearson and Leon Rynearson, Jr.; and step grandson, Cole Millsap.

Family will greet friends from 10 to 11AM at the church prior to the service on Monday. Memorials may be directed to his family for a future designation.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
