Services for Rolland Clair Rollstin of 3309 S.W. Eight St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Funeral Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Rollstin, 73, died of cancer Sunday at the veterans hospital.
He was born in Winterset and lived in Des Moines most of his life, retiring as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his wife, Twyla; a son, Larry of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Linda Wiley of Allegan, Mich.; a sister, Shirley Bush of Green Valley, Ariz., a brother, Robert of Cape Coral, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to his temple fund or the American Cancer Society, Iowa Affiliate.
