This community was shocked to hear of the death of Dr. Clarion King at his home in Boone, caused by pneumonia. He had been sick only about a week, his death occurring Saturday afternoon, January 26.

Dr. King grew up in South township and graduated from the St. Charles high school in 1897 and then studied dentistry, beginning his practice in St Charles in the old frame building on the south side of Main street known as Morgan hall.

He was married to Blanche Sprowl of St. Charles, and later went to Maxwell and then to Boone where he has practiced dentistry for about twenty years.

He leaves his wife and one daughter, Kathleen, who is a school teacher. He also leaves his father, Albert w. King, one sister, Mrs. Mabel Arnold of St. Charles, and one brother, Milton King of Escondido, California.
