Mrs. J. L. Baker

Miss Jennie Oldham, was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, November 1, 1855, and died in Winterset, Iowa, May 4, 1906. When about three years of age, her parents moved to Madison county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.

She was married to Mr. John L. Baker, June 4, 1885. To them were born four children, three of whom are living and with the husband were with her during her illness and death.

When sixteen years of age she made a profession of her faith in Christ, uniting with the Baptist church. Removing later to Aurora, Nebraska, she transferred her letter to the Presbyterian church with wich she was identified at her death.

For more than a year she had been confined to her home with a severe lllness which ended her life here to reappear in a better life.

Funeral services were held by the pastor of the Presbyterian church, Reverend R. R. Marquis, at the residence, Sabbath afternoon, May 6, 1906.
