Allie (Winkler) Faust, 103, of Mulberry, Ind., formerly of the Creston and Lorimor areas, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Mulberry Nursing Home in Mulberry, Ind. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Avenue in Creston. Chaplain Matt Novotny will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston. Open visitation will be from 2-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston with family receiving friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are to be established in her name.

Allie Mae Hurt Winkler Faust, daughter of Carl M. Hurt and Annie M. (Niblack) Hurt was born May 25, 1914 in Shawnee, Okla. Allie moved to the Lorimor area in 1921 and graduated from Lorimor High School in 1932.

Allie was united in marriage to William A. "Bill" Winkler on January 6, 1932 in Winterset, Ia. at the Methodist parsonage. They settled in the Lorimor area where she worked as an active mother, farm-wife and homemaker. Allie had also worked with the Watts – Lindsay Funeral Home in Lorimor. Bill died in 1992.

Allie later was united in marriage to George Axel Faust on August 3, 1992, in Missouri. They lived in the Creston area. George died in June of 2014. Allie moved then, to Layfayette, Indiania, to live near her son Jack.

Allie is survived a son Jack A. Winkler of Lafayette, Ind., step- children, Jim (wife Sandy) Faust of Rising Sun, Ind., Sandra Rooker of Creston; and six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three step-grand-children, 12 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great- grandchild.

Allie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Bill Winkler and second husband, George Faust, a son Bill Winkler, two brothers, a step-son-in-law, John Rooker in 2016, step-grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Nathan and Kim Gross in 2003.
