Mrs. Looney Dead

Mrs. Adeline E. Looney died last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Beard. Funeral services were held in Quinston, Minnesota, on Saturday.

Mrs. Adeline Elizabeth Galbraith Looney passed at the home of her daughter in Winterset. The body was brought to Zimmerman where services were held at the Methodist Church. Burial in Oak Knoll.

Adeline Elizabeth Galbraith was the daughter of Thomas and Martha Galbraith. She was born on February 14, 1866, at Clear Lake, Minnesota, where she spent her early childhood. The family moved to Blue Hill township, she received her education and grew to womanhood.

On November 22, 1884 Adeline became the bride of Michael Looney at Elk River. The couple resided on a farm north of Zimmerman for many years. There were nine children; Mrs. Looney was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, a son Theodore, and a daughter Margaret McKim.

Surviving Mrs. Looney are two sons; John of Zimmerman and Alfred who is in the US Army stationed at Camp Shelby, Miss and five daughters. The daughters are Mrs. May Beard and Adelia Beard, of Winterset, IA, Mrs. Agnes Swanson, of Zimmerman, Mrs. Frances Kaliher, of California and Mrs. Stella (Russell) Benson of Princeton. She also leaves one sister Mrs. Ida Harris of Randall, Wis., two brothers Dr. Logan Galbraith of Cass Lake and Reverend George Galbraith of Nashwauk.
