Ada Tucker

Ada Sue Tucker, 87, of Winterset, Iowa, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Rev. Dr. Ronald Yarnell officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Sue was born on January 4, 1930, at Graham, Missouri to Harry and Anice (Thompson) Haun. She moved to Winterset in 1948 after graduating from high school in Maryville, Missouri. On October 6, 1951 Sue married Charles E. Tucker, Jr. at Winterset. She worked for a brief time for the local phone company but had been a homemaker most of her life. Sue had been a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Husky Booster Club.

Sue is survived by her children, Richard (Cindy) Tucker of Winteret, Mark Tucker of Indianola, Sally (Dale) Woolery of Ankeny, and Ned (Lori) Tucker of Lincoln, NE.; daughter-in-law, Janice Tucker of Des Moines; Joan Anderson of Waukee, Jim Haun of Elkhart, and Betty Ketchum of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Lyndsay Moberg, Bryan Thornburg, Kelsey Lloyd, Brandon Woolery, Brett Tucker, Joe Tucker, Paige Tucker, Nate Tucker, Emily Tucker, Katy Woolery, and Amy Tucker; and great grandchildren, Myles Thornburg, Adryelle Thornburg, Brody Lloyd, Devin Moberg, Breckyn Woolery, Logan Lloyd, Ella Tucker, Sloane Woolery, Emma Lloyd, and Elle Moberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anice Haun; husband, Charles Tucker, Jr.; and brother, Harry C. Haun, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 8 PM at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials given to the family will be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Madison Square, or Care Center South Activity Fund.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
