Funeral services were conducted Monday at Blair Chapel for Samuel Z. Turk, who died on Friday of last week at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. Mr. Turk was born here 64 years ago, but moved to Des Moines in 1889. He was a pioneer railroad engineer.

Surviving are his widow, who was Miss Mary Couch, a daughter, Mrs. Besheer, of Pittsburgh, Kansas; a son, Samuel; two brothers, Wm. and Thomas, and a sister, Mrs. Amanda Oliver, of Colfax.

The remains were interred in the family lot at Blair Chapel cemetery.
