JOYCE MAXINE PATTON HENDRICKS, Adel, Ia

Joyce Maxine Patton Hendricks, daughter of Carl Ernest McMichael and Merle Maxine (Evison) McMichael was born June 25, 1943 in Winterset, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, October 28, 2016 at Adel Acres in Adel, Iowa at 73 years of age.

Joyce received her education in Truro High School graduating in 1961 and graduated from AIB College of Business. She worked over 50 years in the insurance industry. She retired from Holmes Murphy as an account manager. She was united in marriage to David Hendricks on May 7, 1994 at Blair Chapel Church near St. Charles, Iowa

Joyce enjoyed old cars and was a member of the Iowa Street Rod Association, Minnesota Street Rod Association, National Street Rod Association, Model A Club of Iowa, Model T Club of Iowa and Early Wheels of Iowa. Joyce enjoyed reading, painting, musicals, mysteries and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Those relatives who preceded Joyce in death were her parents, Merle and Carl McMichael, infant sister, Nancy Jean McMichael, father-in-law, Keith Hendricks, and brother-in-law, David Wise.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memory; husband, David Hendricks of Adel, IA, daughter, Julie (Jared) Morris of Truro, IA, Julie's Dad, Bill Patton of Roswell, NM, sister, Donna (Mark) Hudson of Arispe, IA, sister, Shirley (Bill) Craig of Shannon City, IA, brother, Richard (Patty) McMichael of Truro, IA, mother-in-law, Madeline Hendricks of Jefferson, IA, sister-in-law, Diane Wise of Jefferson, IA, brother-in-law, Dennis (Janet) Hendricks of Jefferson, IA, many nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Dallas County Sheriff's Department or the Truro Public Library.
