Jeffrey Klay Jones, son of Keith and Joanne (Hulse) Jones, was born July 11, 1960 in Des Moines.  He attended schools in the Winterset area and graduated from Winterset High in 1978.

Jeff was united in marriage with Ginger Lane on November 19, 1988, at the Methodist Church in Norwalk and three children were born to this union.  He and Ginger made their home on a family farm a few miles south of Norwalk, where Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family raising horses, cows and goats.

Jeff was a self-employed window and door contractor for most of his adult life, owning and operating Maple Lane Construction. He was a proud owner of J-Star Family Angus and co-owner of Diamond K Genetics with is daughter, Kari. For the past few years he was employed at K&R Wholesale Building Materials in Norwalk.

Jeff was a supportive father who was involved in all of his children’s activities; whether it was sports, showing livestock, competing in soapbox derby or supporting academic endeavors, Jeff was there for them. He coached softball, baseball and helped his children and other kids show animals and participate in 4-H.

Jeff enjoyed attending the Warren County Fair and the Iowa State Fair. He was elated to have recently become a grandfather, and took such pride in the newest member of the family.  All this said, Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who cherished time he was able to spend with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Ginger Jones; three children, Amanda (Clayton) Garrison; Kyle Jones; Kari Jones; two granddaughters, Allison and Blair Garrison all of Norwalk; brothers, John Jones (Tamie Fisher) of Norwalk; Jay Jones of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Weston Jones; extended family and a host of friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Joanne Jones and his mother-in-law, Opal Lane.
