Hugh Rogers, a former resident of Madison county, died Monday morning, May 6th, about 11:30 o’clock, at his home in New Virginia. Mr. Rogers had been in poor health for several months, and critically ill for the past few weeks. He was 59 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Margaret McNamara. A child that was born to this couple died a number of years ago.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock, at the Sacred Heart church in St. Marys and burial services were at St. Patrick’s, north of Bevington.
