David Logan Nicholl was born in County Antrim Ireland, October 22, 1852, and departed this life April 17, 1920, aged 67 years, 4 months and 24 days.
When about 21 years of age became to Pennsylvania, living there four years when he moved to Monmouth, Illinois. In the year 1878, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Cameron Blair. To this union were born six children - Mattie Sheets, Mary, Maggie, Sadie, James and Robert Nicholl; Maggie and Sadie preceded him to the better land several years ago.
He leaves his wife, two daughters, two sons, three grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers and many friends.
In 1882, they moved to Warren county, Iowa. In 1898, they moved to St. Charles to a farm south of St. Charles in Madison county. In 1912 they moved to town where he was living at the time of his death. He had been failing in health for the past fifteen months.
