Mary Evelyn Brant, daughter of Frank Neidt and Edith (Spurgin) Neidt was born February 28, 1924 in rural Madison County, Iowa and passed from this life Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her home near Truro, Iowa at 92 years of age.
Mary graduated from Truro High School and on September 5, 1942 in Princeton, Missouri, was united in marriage to John Junior Brant. Together they farmed near Truro. She was a very active member of the Truro Congregational United Church of Christ and a member of the Jolly Fu. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Those relatives who preceded Mary in death were her husband, John Junior Brant, her parents, children; Raymond Dean, Lance in infancy, Beverly in infancy, brothers Joe Neidt & Lavern Neidt, sister Cleona Knapp.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Mary Austin of St. Charles, IA, son, Eric Brant of Truro, IA, grandchildren, Tana (Kurt) Krumm of Johnston, IA, Jared (Melinda) Austin of Windsor Heights, IA, Jackie (Jeff) Wagner of Truro, IA, Karla (Jeff) Heaberlin of Indianola, IA; great grandchildren, Troy & Laurel Krumm, Miranda & Valerie Wagner, Maddie & Logan Heaberlin; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Truro Library or Truro Fire and Rescue
Private family services will be held.
