J. A. WITTER, FORMER RESIDENT, DIES MAY 24, IN DES MOINES
Funeral services were held Sunday of last Week at the Church of Christ for J. A. Witter who passed away on May 24th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Luddington in Des Moines. He was 92 years of age and had been an invalid for the past five years and had been tenderly cared for by his daughter.
Mr. Witter had lived in St. Charles many years, and with his wife owning and running a restaurant here 18 years.
He is survived by his daughter, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in 1941 and at the age of 80 years.
Rev. Fields conducted his funeral services and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
