The polio fatality of the past week was that of Carolyn Marie Bush, 9 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bush of Murray. This family formerly lived north of Winterset, but are now residing near Madison chapel in Clarke county. The little girl attended school in Truro.

She became ill of bulbar polio Sept. 12, and died Wednesday of last week at the Blank Memorial hospital in Des Moines. She is survived by her parents; a sister, Sandra Kay; and a brother, Jim. Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro.
