The body of Ray Ackelson of Des Moines was brought here for funeral and burial services Saturday. Rev. F. B. Harris conducted the services.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at the Methodist church by Rev. Francis Harris for Ray Ackelson of Des Moines, formerly of Peru. Burial was at Peru cemetery.

Ray Ackelson Died In Des Moines Last Week

Funeral services for William Ray Ackelson of Des Moines, who died there on Wednesday, August 18, were held in Peru on Saturday morning, August 21. Rev. F. L. Harris of Peru officiated at the service. Interment was made in the Peru cemetery. He died at his home in Des Moines at the age of 54 years.

William Ray Ackelson, son of Mr. Mrs. William John Ackelson of Clayton, Ill., was born March 1, 1889 at Peru. On September 10, 1920 he was united in marriage to Clara Meader and to this union was born one daughter.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Ackelson of Des Moines; his daughter, Mrs. Bernice Way of Des Moines; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Ackelson, of Clayton, Ill.; two brothers, Elsie Ackelson of Rock Island, Ill., and Fred Ackelson of Clayton, Ill.; besides a host of relatives and friends.
