FRANK THOMPSON OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Life-Long Resident There Was 77 Years of Age

Frank Thompson, life-long resident of the St. Charles community died Sunday at the age of 77 years. He had been in failing health for the last six months.

Surviving are his son, Ralph Thompson of Seattle, Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Hugh Maine of Des Moines and Mrs. Alex Waddell, Mrs. Paul Lindsley, Mrs. R. W. Anderson and Mrs. Dale Swanson, all of Detroit, Mich.; five brothers, Worth Thompson of Des Moines, Charles Thompson of Lorimor, Lee Thompson of Miami, Fla., and Alvie and Carl Thompson of Miami, Fla. He also leaves eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Charles and burial was made in the cemetery there.

News of Interest From St. Charles

Frank Thompson passed away at his home here Saturday night, having been bedfast following a stroke last February. He was 76 years of age, and had been a resident of his community all his life, and moved from the farm to St. Charles a few years ago. He was 76 years of age and is survived by his wife, one son and five daughters, another daughter, Mrs. Helen Browne having preceded him in death some years ago.

Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Teewessen of Indianola, and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
