Hazel Winship, formerly of Winterset, died Tuesday at Alexandria, Ind., where she had been living in recent years, according to word received by friends here Wednesday.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Winship of Winterset. All of her early life was spent in this community, and she graduated from the local high school. She left Winterset about 20 years ago.

Former Winterset Girl Died Aug. 19 at Anderson, Indiana
Funeral services for Hazel Winship, whose death at Anderson, Ind., Aug. 19, was reported in the Madisonian last week, were held last Thursday at Summitville, Ind. Burial was made in the Vincent cemetery at Summerville.
Miss Winship was 45 years old at the time of her death. She was born at Winterset, Feb. 27, 1902, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Winship, who preceded her in death.
She attended the Winterset high school, and was employed at the Northwestern Bell Telephone company office in Winterset for several years. She moved to Summitville, Ind., with her parents when she was 19 years of age.
Nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Otis Pendergras, of Alexandria, La.
