Peru Happenings

MRS. S. CLAYTON CARVER RITES HELD HERE SEPTEMBER 20th

Funeral services were held at the Peru Methodist church, Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20th for Mrs. S. Clayton Carver, aged 76 years. The Rev. J. D. Stevens of Peru was the minister, and burial was made in the Ebenezer cemetery.

Mrs. Carver was the former Rosalie H. Ellis, born in Clarke county, April 25, 1871. She passed away in Omaha, Neb., Sept. 17th. Dr. Carver died in 1903.

She is survived by two daughters, Edith O. Carver and Mrs. Nellie C. Williams, a son Herbert W. Carver, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, a brother, J. H. Ellis of Seattle, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Emma Garrett of Creston.
