Mrs. Olive Shutt Van Rossum passed away at the Broadlawn hospital in Des Moines on Monday. Her home was in St. Charles, but she had spent the winter in Des Moines with her daughter, Miss Wilma and had been quite ill for some time and became much worse and was taken to the hospital, where she passed away a few days later.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Wilma and Weldon of Des Moines, James of Lorimor, Mrs. Beulah Parker of Norwalk, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. One daughter died in infancy and her husband preceded her in death in 1916.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mott at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
