August 15, 1927 - March 16, 2016

Ralph Wheeler, 88, of Winterset died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his home.

Services will be held in Oklahoma along with his burial. Memorials may be directed to his family and online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com.

Ralph Clinton Wheeler was born August 15, 1927 in North Dakota to Fred and Lena (Mason) Wheeler. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He married Beverly Knight in 1988 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Winterset.

He was not one to join clubs or groups and was a Seventh Day Adventist. Ralph was very handy and loved to tinkerer. He could fix most anything and especially enjoyed working on automobiles and during his working years was an auto body repair specialist.  He was also a professional bee keeper and was a welder and a fabricator.   

Ralph is survived by his wife, Beverly Wheeler of Winterset; his children, Jan (Stan) Allen of Jay, Oklahoma, Carlene Wheeler of Mt. Home, AR, Bill Ascot of Missouri, Dale Wheeler of Cape Fair, MO, four step children, Lori (Jim) Brandt of Winterset, Sheri (Rusty) Holiday of Winterset, Teresa Neal of Hobbs, NM, Michael (Shari) Neal of Winterset; 16 grandchildren, one great grandchild and extended family.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.
