At Rest.

Margaret Rubirda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fox, was born in the city of Council Bluffs, Iowa, January 30, 1875, and died at the home of her parents in Stuart, Iowa, Friday morning, May 30, 1890.

During the winter she had a severe attack of La Grippe, which left her naturally delicate constitution much debilitated and induced a complication of diseases. She was carried to her room Sunday evening in the arms of her father, Monday morning she arose from her bed and attempted to descend the stairway, her feet and limbs becoming paralyzed, she would have fallen but for the timely aid of her sister. From this time she was unable to walk. Paralization extended to her arms and hands, depriving her almost entirely of their use. An affection of her throat rendered articulation difficult at times. She suffered much but bore all with patient Christian resignation.

Hopes of her recovery were entertained until Thursday noon when the symptoms became so alarming that her attending physician called a consultation. It soon became apparent that death had marked her for his victim. During the afternoon she called her father, mother, brothers and sisters to her bedside and bade them each an affectionate farewell, with words of kind admonition and exhortation, as she was able. At forty minutes past 2 o'clock, on Friday morning her happy spirit winged its way to that Savior whom she delighted to love and trust.—Stuart News.
