Lance Kirk Harvey, 48 passed away January 7, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 11 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Oakland Cemetery in DeSoto. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 10 at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 2-5 p.m.

Lance was born May 18, 1967 in Des Moines, IA. He graduated high school from Earlham, but attended Adel-De Soto until his senior year. He lived in DeSoto, IA most of his life. He was an owner and worked as a plumber with Harvey Plumbing, L.L.C. until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three children, Brandon, Sydney and Talon; brothers, Craig (Dawn) and Eric and many nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family, especially riding motorcycles and four-wheelers with Brandon, softball with Sydney and wrestling with Talon. Lance and Sarah enjoyed participating in the kids sports and his landscaping, which he was very proud of.
