Nancy Black
Nancy Black was born near St. Charles, August 14th, 1865, and died at her home in Truro June 21st, 1926. She was united in marriage to W. A. Bradshaw November 14th, 1883, to this union four children were born, one boy and one girl preceding her in death. She is survived by her husband, two sons, B. F. of Truro, and G. W. of Newton, two grandchildren, four brothers, Will, Riley, Alex and Frank, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Shutt, Mrs. Anna Collins, Mrs. Ella Simp, all in and near St. Charles, and Mrs. Nettie Steele of Kansas.
Funeral services were conducted in the Christian church at Truro, of which she was a member, by her pastor, Rev. Frederick Cooper, last Wednesday, June 23rd, and her remains were laid to rest in the Hartman cemetery south of Truro, by the side of her son and daughter.

Nancy Emley Bradshaw, wife of W. A. Bradshaw of Truro, Iowa, was born near St. Charles, Madison Co., Iowa to George and Sarah Black August 14, 1865.
On November 14, 1883 she was married to W. A. Bradshaw. To this union were born four children; three boys and one girl. One boy died in infancy and one girl, Velma, at the age of five years. The two remaining children, Benjamin F. of Truro, and Geo. W. of Newton, also two grandchildren, Carl and Nola Bradshaw, besides her husband, W. A. Bradshaw remain to mourn her going. In addition to these, she also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Mary Shutt, Mrs. Ella Simpson, Mrs. Anne Collins, all living near St. Charles except one sister, Mrs. Nettie Steele who lives in Kansas.
At the age of about twenty she was converted and united with the Baptist church at Worthing Chapel. She later moved her membership to the Truro Christian church of which she was a faithful member at the time of her death, being active in service as long as her health and strength would permit. She was also a member of the Woman’s Relief Corps, being much interested in its work of service.
Sister Bradshaw was a kind neighbor, a loving mother, a faithful and loving wife, and a loyal follower of (sentence missing) say with the poet, “None knew her but to love her, none named her but to praise,” She passed away at her home in Truro June 21, 1926 at 6:30 p. m. at the age of sixty years, ten months and twenty one days.
