Former Resident Died in Oregon

Mrs. M. O. Evans, 93, former resident of this vicinity, died April 19 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. W. Cowman, at Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Mrs. Evans was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kail. Before her marriage to Jackson Evans she taught in the schools of Madison county. With her husband, a pioneer newspaper editor, she lived in various towns in the Dakotas and Montana, and for the past twenty years had made her home in Helena, Montana.

Besides Mrs. Cowman, another daughter, Mrs. Fred Buck of Helena survives, as do two sisters and a brother: Mrs. B. N. Jewett and Mrs. C. A. Stanley, Portland, Oregon, and E. E. Kail, Twin Falls, Idaho.

Mrs. Earl Schalkle and Miss Gayle Junkin are nieces of Mrs. Evans.
