Dr. L. C. Blackburn Died In Accident

Word was received today of the death of Dr. L. C. Blackburn, who had been living in Hastings, Nebraska and working with his brother in the truck business.

He and his brother went to Kansas City where they picked up a repossessed truck. Dr. Blackburn was driving the truck back alone while his brother was taking the car. Reports say that he came up to a dead end street and stopped. Evidently he suffered a heart attack or heat exposure because instead of turning the truck rolled straight ahead, went over the railing, and fell approximately 40 feet.

Dr. Blackburn was a veterinarian in this community and Winterset before moving to Nebraska.
