Funeral Last Week For Paul Payne

Mr. and Mrs. Omer Payne, Mrs. Delbert Grove of Guthrie Center, Mrs. Etella Knepper of Tarkio, Missouri and Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Wynn of Des Moines went to Cresco last week to attend the funeral of Paul Payne, a brother, who died Monday, April 9th.

Mr. Payne was a graduate of the Earlham high school with the class of 1915. He had been county extension director of Howard county for the past 27 years. He was 63 years old. The cause of his death was cancer.
