Thursday, February 16, 1905E. B. Thompson, one of the pioneers of this county, passed away at his home in Monroe twp. Tuesday. He moved to Madison co. in 1864 and has lived on the farm the family now occupy for many years. He leaves two children, his wife having proceeded him about 3 years ago.
The funeral was held at the home Wednesday and interment made in the Hammond cemetery.

E. B. Thompson, one of the oldest settlers in Madison county, died at his home in Monroe township Tuesday morning.
Mr. Thompson was highly respected by his neighbors and friends and had a wide circle of acquaintances. He came to Iowa in 1855 and to Madison county in 1865. The funeral was to have been held Wednesday if the weather permitted.
