Audrey Nuzum, 5, passed away on Sunday November 8, 2015, at her home in Winterset.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Ochiltree Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Ochiltree Funeral Service with burial to follow in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family and online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com.

Audrey Elizabeth Nuzum, daughter of Clent Nuzum and Kristin Burhans, was born April 2, 2010, in Des Moines. Audrey enjoyed watching movies in bed and sometimes daddy would join her. She enjoyed watching anything from Disney to the Expendables. There was always country music playing on her radio. Audrey had long auburn hair that went past her waist, but was usually worn in long braid with colorful ribbons.

Audrey faced many obstacles in her life, and had several hospital stays. During those times the home never felt right until Audrey was back with her family. She was a very special girl who was loved very much and will be forever missed.

A special thank you to the many compassionate nurses that took such good care of Audrey; Stacy, Marilyn, Meredith, and Veronica. Audrey is survived by her dad, Clent Nuzum of Winterset; mom Kristin Burhans of Winterset; brothers, Jared Nuzum, Jesse Nuzum, Braxton Weeks; grandparents, Russ Nuzum of Winterset, Shellie ( Cook) Petek of Winterset, James Burhans of Louisiana, Kelly Stevens of Independence; cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great grandma Mary Fern Nuzum.
