Obituary

After only a few days of suffering Mrs. Mary Hill Kilgore died at her home in Monroe township, February 2, 1905. From near the first of her sickness she realized that she could not recover, and calling a member of the family to her bedside told them that she was going to die and that she wanted to meet her Savior.

Throughout the hours of her suffering she was patient and affectionate, characteristic of her life, which drew and held her friends to her.

The family were present at her death and her six sons acted as pallbearers, carrying the casket from the home to the church and from there to the cemetery.

Mary Hill was born April 27, 1824 in Brunswick county, Virginia and was united in marriage to Benjamin F. Kilgore February 9, 1843, in Marion county, Indiana.
