Gerry Wayne Hougham, 67, passed away suddenly at his home in DeSoto, KS Sunday March 29. He attended Earlham Community School as a child.
A 1966 graduate of DeSoto High School, Gerry served with the 7th Infantry Division at Camp Casey Korea. He graduated from Kansas State Teachers College with a degree in business. He was manager for Radio Shack in both Bedford Hills, NY and Overland Park, KS.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his kind and generous spirit, and for being a proud and loving father. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, but especially by the family members he leaves behind including: his mother, Lillian Hougham, daughter, Courtney Hougham, sister, Pam Jenks; and brothers, Bob and Denny Hougham.
A sservice will be held at the VFW in DeSoto, KS on April 11 from 12 – 2. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Gerry's name to the American Heart Association or the VFW.
