Charles L. Lyon Died At Marshalltown

Charles L. Lyon, a resident of the Iowa Soldiers Home for the last two years, died at 10 a.m. Monday at the Home Hospital. The son of Albert and Louise Lyon, he was born at Elgin, Iowa, April 8, 1868.

In 1889 he joined the U.S. Cavalry where he served until 1893. He moved to Earlham in 1940 and the following year was married to Emma Prohaska, who survives and is also a resident at the Home. James Lyon, a brother, lives at Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Lyon was a member of the Christian church.
