Thos. H. Walker of Kirwin committed suicide by shooting himself through the head on Friday last.
Mr. Walker was the defendant in a suit, wherein, G. D. Ensign claimed damages to the amount of $10,000, for alienations of the affections of the latter's wife. The case was to have come on for hearing this week.
Mr. Walker has many warm friends who claim that he was guiltless of any criminal intimacy with Mrs. Ensign, and that when the case came on for trial would be able to prove his innocence, but the charges so wrought upon his mind, as to cause temporary derangement, during which time he committed the act.
Whether innocent or guilty, his case has been tried before that court, where the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is admitted as evidence.
