Mrs. W. W. Carson is now in Oklahoma, haring received a dispatch stating that her father, Mr. H. Penfield, was not expected to live. Her father died while she was at the depot awaiting a chance to go to their home, some 7 or 9 miles distant. Mr. Penfield was formerly a resident of this place, having moved to Oklahoma last spring.
