Frank Wight, 61, widely known Madison County farmer, died Friday at his home west of Winterset. He had been in ill health for some time. Born in this county, and a life-time resident here, with the exception of on year spent in Montana, Mr. Wight was a prosperous farmer. He was the second son of George and Susan Wight and was born June 20, 1875.

He was married October 26, 1898 to Blanche V. Donaldson.

He leaves his wife and five children, Claire Wight, of Lorimor; George Wight, of Faribault, Minnesota; Gayle Wight, of Lincoln, Nebraska and Ward Wight, who lives at home, four grandchildren, Marilyn, Gwen, Jean and Richard Lee Wight; two sisters, Mrs. D. W. (Dennis Wilson) Short, of Winterset; and Mrs. Suzie Liner, of Vandervoort, Arkansas; and a brother, Claude Wight, of California.

Services were held on Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the Ramsey-Richards Funeral Home, with the Rev. E. E. Garret, pastor of West Star Church, officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery, with his four sons as pallbearers.
