Charles Edwin Booth was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, March 20, 1859 and died in Winterset, Iowa, May 6, 1921, at the age of 62 years, I month, and 6 days.

He was married to Elvina McClain, February 10, 1881, who died December 27, 1906. To this union were born eight children, Mrs. Jennie Perkins, Thurman; Mrs. Alice Peacock, St. Clair, Missouri; Mrs. Jessie Brown, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Nellie Griffith, Audubon; Roy E. Booth, Winterset; Clyde E. Booth, Wind River, Wyoming; James W. Booth, Marengo; Clarence W. Booth, Thurman, all of whom survive. He later married Mrs. Alice Webster, of Des Moines, July 27, 1911 who still survives.

Funeral services took place Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. Carpenter of the Church of Christ at the Tidrick undertaking parlors and was buried at the McGinnis Cemetery near Patterson.

Death of C. E. Booth

Charles Edwin Booth died in Winterset on Mar 4th of valvular heart trouble, with dropsical complications. Mr. Booth was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, but had lived in Madison county for years.

Funeral services were held at Tidrick’s undertaking parlors on Sunday afternoon, in charge of Rev. M. C. Carpenter. Interment took place in the Patterson cemetery. Mr. Booth is survived by eight children: Mrs. Jennie Perkins of Thurman, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Peacock of St. Clair, Mo.; Mrs. Jessie Brown of Tulsa, Okla; Mrs. Nellie Griffith of Audubon; Roy Booth of Winterset; Clyde Booth, Wind River, Wyoming; James W. Booth, Marengo; Clarence W. Booth, Thurman.
