Mrs. Orie Myers

Luella Blanche Myers died at her home at 715 N. Osage street, Independence, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 14, after an illness of six weeks. She was born in Adair county, August 28, 1872 the eldest daughter of Phillip and Dora Silverthorn. She was united in marriage to Orie E. Myers of East Peru, on December 24, 1899, and to this union were born two sons and one daughter.

Survivors include her husband a daughter, Mrs. H. B Perkins of Independence; sons Leo of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Harold of Independence; one sister, Mrs. W. M. Keith of Ames; two brothers, Ray Silverthorn of Winterset and Claude of Orient; also one great grandchild and three grandchildren. One brother, Glen, preceded her in death three years ago.

Funeral services were held in the Ott-Mitchell funeral home at Independence and were conducted by Rev. Harold M. Hunt. Burial was made in the Woodlawn cemetery.

Transcriber's note: Although this obituary says she was born in Adair county, the 1885 Iowa Census has both she and her brother Glen born in Madison County.
