MRS. CORA PARKINS DIED LAST FRIDAY

Funeral Services Were Held Monday From Church of Christ Here

Mrs. Cora E. Parkins, a well known Winterset resident for many years, died last Friday, Aug. 20, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marion Cameron. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. Parkins was born in Madison county, March 16, 1873, and spent her entire life here, with the exception of a few years in Nebraska and in Greene county, Iowa.

She was married Sept. 15, 1891, to Leonard Parkins. They were the parents of seven children. Her husband, two sons, and a daughter preceded her in death.

She leaves three daughters, Mrs. C. C. Algoe of Peru, Mrs. Cameron of Winterset, and Mrs. Charles Landers of Denver, Colo.; a son, E. L. Parkins of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother, W. E. Bentley of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Winterset Church of Christ in charge of the pastor, the Rev. I. E. Linkletter. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery.
