Page 1Death of Mrs. A. F. Harpole
Mrs. A. F. Harpole died last Friday, September 14th, at her home in Macksburg, after an illness of several months, with high blood pressure. Mrs. Harpole was born in Webster township forty-four years ago and had made this her home since that time, with the exception of one year, when she resided in North Dakota. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Welty.
The deceased was married to Alfred F. Harpole, June 7, 1904, and to them were born five children: Archibald, Alfred, Raymond, Jane May and Velma. The family moved to Macksburg ten years ago, and have since made that community their home.
Besides her husband and her children, Mrs. Harpole leaves one sister, Mrs. Jessie Chilcote, of Hillsdale, Wyoming, and three brothers, Ed, of Sioux City; Vern, of Madison county, and Lee, in the U.S. army.
