Page 4Macksburg – Death of Eileen Knight
Macksburg and vicinity was shocked Friday evening when word was received of the sudden death of Eileen, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Knight, who live near Zion. She was only sick about ten days, starting with flu, then going to pneumonia. All was done that could be done, but her heart was not strong enough to meet the crisis. Eileen was born in Macksburg, July 24, 1916, and with her parents lived here until four years ago, when they moved to a farm near Zion.
The funeral services were held Sunday, June 10, at 2:30, at the Hill of Zion church and interment was made at the Macksburg cemetery. Mrs. and Mrs. Knight and daughter Gertrude have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.

Claypool, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Crow, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smith, Mrs. Jennie Ballard, Mrs. Vera Pinckney, Mr. and Mrs. E. Pickney, Mr. and Mrs. Coyt Herren and Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Holiday.
