Member of Pioneer Family Here Died Last Week in MinnesotaFuneral services for Joseph H. Wright, a member of a pioneer Madison county family, were held here Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, and burial was made in the Hooten cemetery. The rites were held in charge of the Rev. Arthur Mortenson, pastor at the Winterset Presbyterian church.
Mr. Wright’s death occurred last Saturday at Brainard, Minnesota, where he had been making his home with a son. He was a son of Jackson and Nancy Wright, and was born December 22, 1863, in Washington county, Pennsylvania. In 18— he came with his parents to Madison county, and lived most of his life here. He was married here in 1891 to Mary Evelyn Huss. They were the parents of four children, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Wright died in 1912.
He is survived by his two sons, Larkin Wright, of Brainard, Minnesota, and Lynn Wright of Marshalltown, three brothers, Will Wright of Greenfield, Harry Wright of Oregon, and William Wright of Lewistown, Montana and two sisters, Mrs. --- McC-----, of C---- Calif., and Mrs. Delia Tracy, of Winterset. He also leaves seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Joseph H. Wright, resident of Madison county for many years, died Saturday, august 28, at the home of his son, Lark Wright, at Brainard Minn. He was 80 years old. funeral services were held at the Ramsey-Richards Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31, at two p.m. Rev. Arthur Mortenson was in charge of the service. Interment was made in the Humpton cemetery.
Joseph Henry Wright, son of Jackson and Nancy Wright, was born December 22, 1862, in Washington county, Pennsylvania. In 1873 he came with his parents to Madison county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1890 he was united in marriage to Martha Evelyn Huss, and they were the parents of four children, two daughters dying in infancy. Mrs. Wright preceded her husband in death in 1918.
He is survived by two sons, Lark Wright of Brainard, Minn., and Lylse Wright of Marshalltown, Iowa; three brothers Will Wright of Greenfield; Harry Wright of Oregon and Vernon of Lewiston, Montana; two sisters, Mrs. Ben McCloud of Cerres, Calif., and Mrs. Della Tracy of Winterset' seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and many friends.
